Prepare to be whisked away to Italy’s romantic rolling landscapes with Globe-Trotter’s landmark new AW18 collection
Picture the scene: one minute you’re sat daydreaming at your desk – the next you and your beau are driving a vintage Alfa Romeo through Tuscany’s lush green and burnt orange terrain. Autumn has arrived and it’s time for a change of scenery and a spot of spontaneity, both of which Tuscany delivers in spades, with lush landscapes, decadent food and dreamy, starlit evenings that require nothing of you but to enjoy a glass of red wine and il dolce far niente.
This, in a nutshell, is the inspiration behind Globe-Trotter’s new season Toscana collection. Launching on 1 August, the Autumn/Winter collection introduces a twist on two classic colour combinations: navy and pumpkin ‘Zucca’, and a Siena orange teamed with navy corners and a red handle. Case sizes range from vanity cases to the mini London Square and the 30” Extra Deep Suitcase, meaning all your travel essentials are taken care of.
The new-season collection also marks a landmark ‘refresh’ for Globe-Trotter’s accessories division by introducing a suede handbag collection for the very first time. Petite bowling bags in three distinctive colourways and elegant suede totes are specially designed to effortlessly match the trolley cases, both in style and structure. For the first time in its 120 year history, cases and accessories are now a true matching set.
To mark the launch of the new collection, Globe-Trotter commissioned a high-end fashion shoot in the grounds of The Grove hotel. With its 300 acres of sprawling Hertfordshire countryside, rustic decor and scenic Walled Garden, the five-star hotel and its surroundings made the perfect setting in which to capture the romantic getaway inspiration and overall sense of la dolce vita.
