The Original collection is the starting point of Globe-Trotter’s history. Since 1897, these cases have been handcrafted in England using the same traditional methods, preserving a legacy built on craftsmanship, purpose, and timeless design.

The Original Attaché is a refined essential for those who approach work and travel with intention. Its structure is formed from navy vulcanised fibreboard with black leather corners, finished with polished chrome fittings that lend a crisp, modern accent. Free from straps or decorative details, the silhouette remains clean, precise, and true to its origins.

Inside, the fabric-lined interior features a removable leather folio, perfect for documents, tablets, or meetings on the move. The top handle, crafted in black leather, ensures a comfortable grip whether commuting or travelling further afield.

Part of the Original collection, this case is built for those who value simplicity, functionality, and the enduring elegance of British design.

Vulcanised Fibreboard

The body of the Attaché is crafted from Globe-Trotter’s proprietary Vulcanised Fibreboard, formed from 14 layers of recycled paper, cotton, and wood pulp from sustainable sources. The layers are bonded with zinc and compressed using steam and pressure, resulting in a shell that is exceptionally lightweight and strong. This exclusive material is chosen for its durability, structural integrity, and timeless character.

Vegetable-Tanned Leather

All leather elements, including the hand-moulded corners, trims, handles and fastening details, are made from vegetable-tanned hide. This traditional tanning method uses only natural plant extracts to create leather of exceptional strength and character. Over time, it develops a rich patina, ensuring that every case becomes ever more individual with each journey.

Ethical Sourcing

All leather is ethically sourced, with traceability and a commitment to high standards of animal welfare and responsible environmental practices.

Handle

The handle is constructed from reinforced, vegetable-tanned leather. It is bonded, pressed, and hand-finished for comfort and long-term durability.

Lining

The interior is lined with finely woven cotton or a cotton-blend fabric, chosen for its smooth feel, strength, and refined look.

Locks and Hardware

The Attaché is equipped with a precision-engineered lock and hardware made from carbon steel or solid brass, finished in gold, chrome, or signature tones. Each component is selected for reliable security and a polished appearance.

Serial Plaque

A unique, individually numbered metal plaque is fitted inside each Attaché, confirming authenticity and providing a permanent mark of provenance.
