Vulcanised Fibreboard
The body of the Children’s Storage Box is made from Globe-Trotter’s proprietary Vulcanised Fibreboard. This material consists of 14 layers of recycled paper, cotton, and wood pulp from sustainable sources, bonded with zinc and compressed under steam and pressure. The result is a lightweight, durable shell designed to safely protect keepsakes and essentials.
Vegetable-Tanned Leather
All leather elements, including the corners and trims, are crafted from vegetable-tanned hide leather. This leather is chosen for its strength, soft touch, and ability to develop a rich patina over time. The traditional vegetable tanning process uses only natural plant extracts, resulting in a beautiful and robust finish.
Lining
The interior is lined with finely woven cotton or a cotton-blend fabric. The lining is selected for its gentle feel, durability, and complementary appearance, making it ideal for storing a child’s treasured items.
Finishing
All exterior and interior details are carefully hand-finished for smoothness, safety, and a refined look.
Serial Plaque
Each storage box contains a unique, individually numbered metal plaque inside, confirming authenticity and providing a permanent mark of provenance.
