The Art of Miniaturisation: Globe-Trotter’s Crossbody Micro Case

As purveyors of handmade suitcases since 1897, Globe-Trotter is world-renowned for its luggage and inimitable craftsmanship. More recently, however, the brand behind 'the world's most famous suitcase' has been quietly refining their range of luxury bags. In 2023, Globe-Trotter has unveiled the all-new Micro Case – a fashion-forward miniature embodiment of their time-honoured icons.

Of course, Globe-Trotter has always produced accessories alongside its luggage. Slimline attachés, vanity cases and portable jewellery and shoe cases have been found in the company archives dating back well over a century. While these products stay true to a classic design, handbags generally are more open to experimentation and have the capacity to be aspirational pieces in their own right.

But the beauty of Globe-Trotter bags is that they are conceived and constructed in the same vein as their suitcase counterparts. None more so than the newest release. The Micro Cases take their form from the Centenary and Safari silhouettes – right down to the straps, leather corners and handle – but reimagined as a functional crossbody bag. It comes with detachable 'day' and 'night' straps to give the bag a different character depending on its outing.

Micro Case

New for 2023, the Micro Case pushes Globe-Trotter’s craftsmanship to new levels.
