Handmade in England, the case is constructed from vulcanised fibreboard in rich oxblood red, paired with black leather corners and polished gold-tone fittings. Every component is finished by hand in Globe-Trotter’s Hertfordshire workshop, using techniques passed down through generations.

The main structure of the Jewellery Box is crafted from Globe-Trotter’s proprietary Vulcanised Fibreboard, comprising 14 layers of recycled paper, cotton, and wood pulp from sustainable sources. These layers are bonded with zinc and compressed under steam and pressure, resulting in a shell that is exceptionally lightweight, strong, and exclusive to Globe-Trotter. This material is chosen for its unmatched durability and its refined, iconic appearance.
Vegetable-Tanned Leather
All leather elements, including the hand-moulded corners, trims, handles and fastening details, are made from vegetable-tanned hide. This traditional tanning method uses only natural plant extracts to create leather of exceptional strength and character. Over time, it develops a rich patina, ensuring that every case becomes ever more individual with each journey.
